Technical requirements
For Business eBanking and Markets Online to work satisfactorily, we recommend the following as minimum specifications for your PC and local network:
Operating system*
Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1/ Win 7
Browser**
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer. (Read about

Screen resolution
800x600 with 256 colours (SVGA).
1024x768 true colours (SVGA)
recommended.
Modem
Modem with speed of 56 kbps or above.
ADSL or a faster connection
recommended.
Local network and communication protocol
All communication with the Bank takes
place via the TCP/IP protocol.
To communicate with Business eBanking,
you have to open port 443.
For file transfer to and from the Bank,
port 1414 must be open too.
Communication
Internet connection via ISP.
Direct modem link to National Irish Bank.
* Business eBanking does
not
support Macintosh.
** If you use a browser not on the recommended browser list, National Irish Bank cannot provide support or guarantee consistent operation of Business eBanking and Markets Online. Note that beta versions of browsers are not generally supported.
Other requirements
You must have Sun Java (minimum version 1.5.0) activated on your PC.
To be able to send and receive files in Business eBanking, the PC must have a C: drive.
